Vul. Parkova, 14 – residential building ID: 405
A residential building (1910, architectural firm of Ivan Levynskyi). The building was constructed at the foot of the Stryiskyi Park hills. It is a typical example of Post Secessionist architecture in Lviv.
Architecture
The building is four stories high, built of brick, plastered, and set beneath a gable tiled roof. In plan, it forms an irregular rectangle. The façade is ressaulted, featuring a pediment crown and two polygonal oriel windows. Rectangular windows are recessed in small niches. A bass relief by Zygmunt Kurczyński is set above the entrance portal. The interior layout is sectional. It is a characteristic example of Post Secessionist architecture in Lviv.People
Ivan Levynskyi
– One of the most renowned architects of Habsburg Lviv,
entrepreneur, one of the largest employers of his time in the city. His firm was
involved in the construction and renovation of countless structures throughout
Lviv and the region. Professor at the Higher Technical School, an active public
figure associated with the Ukrainian People's Movement.
Luna Drexler — sculptor, artist, and public figure. Luna Drexler resided here until the end of her life.
