Vul. Metrolohichna, 6 – residential building

Vul. Metrolohichna, 6 – residential building ID: 1496

This detached single-family house was constructed in 1905–1906 according to a design by Zygmunt Pszorn. Adjoining the firewall of the neighboring building No. 4, the two-story villa forms part of a pair of residences set within a garden environment. The composition is defined by avant-corps of varying heights; a high pediment with volutes is built over the garden elevation. The texture of the façades is enhanced by bands of face brick. The rooms are arranged in two depth-aligned rows (double-tract layout), running perpendicular to Metrolohichna. Stylistically, the building represents Late Historicism.
