Vul. Hlyboka, 21 – residential building ID: 1950

This residential apartment building dates to the mid-1900s. It consists of two sections constructed on an urban site extending deep into the block: a front block with firewalls on the sides and two ranges of interior rooms, and a wing separated by an internal courtyard. The townhouse is three stories high. The principal elevation faces vul. Hlyboka along the regulatory line. Windows and balconies are symmetrically arranged on the façade, which is flanked by protruded wall sections. The carriage entrance to the courtyard is offset to the right. The building represents a typical mid-sized tenement house of the 1900s, featuring decorative ornamentation (relief panels, maiolica tiles, and grilles) that bears the characteristic hallmarks of the Secession style.
