Oleh Luzhnytskyi (born in 1893 in Ternopil near Lviv – date of death unknown), photographer from the Interbellum period, member of UFOTO (Ukrainian Photographic Society) and participant of numerous photographic exhibitions. From the early 1930s had been applying for a concession that would allow him to maintain a private photographic studio. The concession was issued in 1934, but for the lack of an appropriate space he maintained his photographic atelier in his own flat on 29 Listopada Street 32 (now Konovaltsia Street, 32).
Between 1936-1939, his atelier was located on Asnyka 8 (now Bohomoltsya, 8). Luzhnytskyi's employees Volodymyr Melnyk, Leon Labiner and Andriy Stechnovych worked on the streets, squares and parks using the Leica camera. In 1939 Luzhnytskyi moved his atelier to a new location on Generala Rozwadowskiego Street 6 (now Zelena str.).
