Vul. Kulisha – billboard (no longer exists) ID: 1907
Advertising billboards for posters on the gable walls of the houses at the former vul. Soniachna 30 and 34 (now vul. Kulisha), belonging to M. Herenik's billposting establishment (the bureau was located at ul. Berka Joselewicza 22, now vul. M. Balabana).
Story
The billboards, measuring 4.5 by 2.8 meters and 3.25 by 2.8 meters, were located on the firewalls of the buildings. The site plan is dated July 4, 1938.
Positioned between an advertisement for Lviv Beer and an announcement for the regional aviation exhibition, the billboards featured posters for the following cinemas:
The premiere cinema "Atlantic" — the American film Escape from San Quentin (1937).
The "Casino" cinema — Truth Prevails starring Paul Muni (USA, 1934; original title: Eng. Hi, Nellie!).
The "Stylovyi" cabaret-cinema — the historical drama Island on Fire (Pol. Wyspa w płomieniach, 1937; original title: Eng. Fire Over England).
The "Baltic" cinema — a film adaptation of the novel by Pola Gojawiczyńska, The Girls of Nowolipki (1937).
The "Chymera" cinema — the German film Under the Yellow Flag (Pol. Pod żółtą flagą, 1937; original title: Ger. Die gelbe Flagge; directed by Gerhard Lamprecht, starring Hans Albers and Olga Chekhova).
The "Novosti" cinema — featuring Paul Burstein and Lilian Lux; ticket prices ranged from 50 gr. to 2 zł.
The premiere cinema "Palace" — the American film Masquerade (Pol. Maskarada, 1935; original title: Eng. Escapade) starring Luise Rainer and William Powell.
The "Apollo" cinema — the American drama Saratoga (1935) starring Clark Gable.
