Story

The building is located in the central part of the city within the linear development of the street. It was constructed at the end of the nineteenth century according to the design of architect Henryk Salwer for Hersch Heilberg. The design was approved on February 30, 1891 (ДАЛО 2/1/335:31).

Prior to construction, an earlier two-story building was demolished, which belonged in the 1880s–1890s to Stanisław Sierociński, Józef Kozłowski, and Wiktoria Grzeżułkówska (ДАЛО 2/1/335:1). At the beginning of 1891, Hersch Heilberg became its owner (ДАЛО 2/1/335:20).

On December 14, 1891, the new owner requested permission from the city council to dismantle the old building and construct a new one in its place (ДАЛО 2/1/335:25). On December 17, 1891, the city council granted the building permit (ДАЛО 2/1/335:33), and on January 14, 1893, issued the occupancy permit, simultaneously certifying that the construction of the building was completed on January 10, 1893 (ДАЛО 2/1/335:42).

In 1911, the next owner of the building — Professor Karol Heising, a physician for penal institutions in Lviv (ДАЛО 2/1/335:60) — added a three-story rear wing in the courtyard on the site of the old toilets. The design of additional plans for the construction of the rear wings, approved by the city council on December 22, 1911, was executed by master mason Jan Kajpert (ДАЛО 2/1/335:58, 60, 64). The design of a metal-structure garage for Professor Karol Heising in the courtyard of the building was executed by master builder, engineer Edward Stronhal on May 6, 1929 (ДАЛО 2/1/335:135).

Architecture

The residential tenement house at vul. Konyskoho 3 was erected in 1893 within the row development of the street. It is a three-story, brick, plastered structure. Stylistic characteristics: Historicism with Neobaroque elements. The composition of the principal elevation is symmetrical with an off-center entrance portal.

Vertically, the elevation is divided by inter-floor moldings. On the ground floor, the wall surface is finished with massive rustication, occasionally featuring a decorative texture, while the windows are decorated with profiled trimming and plasterwork keystones with diamond rustication. The second and third floors are also rusticated, but "French" rustication is applied. The windows of the second and third floors have profiled trimming, which on the second floor are topped with keystones and segmental pediments, and on the third floor — with keystones in the form of plasterwork brackets with acanthus leaves. Beneath the second-floor windows, panels with molded garlands are placed. The façade is topped by a wide, molded cornice-entablature with plasterwork modillions featuring mascarons. Small rectangular attic windows are located within the frieze.
