Story
The building is situated in the central part of the city within the street's terraced development. It was constructed in 1907 according to a design by Salomon Rimer, completed in 1906 (ДАЛО 2/1/1854:2–3). It was erected on the site of a single-story house with wings, the design for which was finalized by the builder Wojciech Szczeblowski on May 22, 1871 (ДАЛО, p. 1). On September 6, 1906, Majer and Wolf Bardachowie received permission to construct a three-story building (ДАЛО, p. 3) based on plans approved by the city magistrate (ДАЛО, p. 6). On August 26, 1907, the magistrate authorized the occupancy of the building and simultaneously certified that construction had been completed on August 10, 1907 (ДАЛО, p. 6). Based on a sales contract dated January 9, 1908, the building passed from Majer and Wolf Bardachowie to Izaak Reischer and Salomea Reischer (née Karpf) (ДАЛО, p. 9). On January 20, 1930, a project to expand the first-floor shop, executed by architect Aba Kornblüt, was approved (ДАЛО, p. 18). On August 6, 1935, he also completed a design for the shop's portal (ДАЛО, p. 60), which was approved by the city magistrate on August 17 of the same year.Architecture
